Abbott (Josiah) House is built.

[1910-MLS] Architect: Strickland & Blodgett. Designed in the Art Deco style, it is located at 6 Arlington Street (0 Marlborough Street). The building contains and club rooms used by the Junior League of Boston. It is purchased by the Katherine Gibbs School in 1959 and used as a dormitory by that school and Emerson College. The building is converted to apartments in 2006 and condominiums in 2007.
